This includes The Hyde Lea Unit for general nursing, three CDL units for mental health and complex care, and The Village – a secure environment designed for residents living with dementia. Our facilities support both high-dependency care and low-stimulation environments, with a strong emphasis on personalised care planning, safety, and continuity.

To ensure our home is the right fit for each individual, we work in close partnership with the person being referred, their family, and relevant professionals throughout the referral, assessment and admission process. Our Clinical Assessors will liaise with referrers directly to gather all relevant background information and complete a timely assessment, either in hospital, at home, or in the current place of care. This enables us to ensure a smooth transition and deliver a consistent, well-coordinated package of care.
We provide care for adults at various stages of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease and related cognitive conditions. Our dementia care is delivered in The Village, a purpose-built environment designed to minimise confusion and support familiarity and routine. This area of the home is comprised of four self-contained units with ten bedrooms each, ensuring a calm, consistent setting where residents benefit from structured care and clear, supportive routines.
Staff working in our dementia unit receive regular, specialist training and are skilled in managing responsive behaviours, supporting emotional regulation, and tailoring communication methods to each individual. We adopt a person-centred model of care, integrating family input and life history into daily routines to ensure that each care plan reflects the resident’s past, preferences, and present needs.
The Hyde Lea Unit supports residents with a wide range of general nursing needs, including reduced mobility, palliative care, long-term physical health conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation. We provide 24-hour nursing care with medication administration, nutritional support, wound care, continence management and mobility assistance, all delivered by experienced nursing and care staff.
Each resident has a personalised nursing care plan developed through a comprehensive assessment process. We welcome referrals from hospital discharge teams, community nurses and GPs, and work closely with allied health professionals to support continuity of care. Our environment is fully equipped with profiling beds, hoists and en-suite wet rooms, ensuring safety and dignity for all residents.
Manor House provides structured, specialist care for adults living with enduring mental health conditions including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and the long-term effects of substance misuse. Residents are supported in our CDL Units, which are designed to offer both safety and autonomy. We support individuals who present with challenging behaviours, cognitive impairment, and co-occurring physical health needs.
Our multidisciplinary team completes a detailed assessment prior to admission, liaising with mental health professionals and previous care providers to develop an accurate, responsive care plan. Our team is experienced in medication management, de-escalation techniques, and building structured daily routines that promote stability and wellbeing. We also work closely with external services to support social engagement and appropriate discharge planning where needed.
We offer short-term care for individuals requiring nursing or mental health support on a temporary basis. This includes step-down care following hospital discharge, short-term placements for individuals in crisis, and planned respite to support family carers. Respite care residents receive the same level of assessment and personalised care planning as those admitted on a permanent basis.
Our respite care packages include full clinical support, personal care, activities and access to all Manor House facilities. We ensure continuity by liaising with referring professionals throughout the stay and are happy to provide outcome reports or transition support where applicable.
