Who we are
At the Manor House we work as part of a team that not only deeply care for our residents but also about each other.
We have a large team including Healthcare Assistants, Senior Healthcare Assistants, nurses, management, facilities managers, quality assurance, catering, domestic and admin form the team. We have an on-site Maintenance Team, porters and ground staff who ensure residents have all amenities available to them.
It is important to us to support people on their career path. Beginning with a comprehensive classroom based induction programme, new starters learn our policies and procedures, how to use our care control system, fire safety, as well as health and safety including manual handling which is essential for both the well-being of staff and residents.
The training does not stop there. We provide a training calendar to help employees further their knowledge and offer courses for specialist skills creating ‘champions’ within the team such as Nutrition, Dignity and Covid.
We understand that for some people juggling work and childcare can be a challenge which is why we have built a créche in The Village at The Manor House.
The crèche, due to open soon is for the exclusive use of our employees. A fully qualified Manager runs our crèche which has a separate kitchen, bathroom, large playroom, sleep room and garden for the little ones.
The crèche operates on a totally not-for-profit basis which makes it far less expensive than usual nurseries and offers flexible hours to accommodate shifts patterns.
