You’ll be an integral part of our care team to promote the values and ethos of our home, encouraging the care teams to grow and develop in their roles.
You’ll be leading a small team to ensure we are always providing quality care to our residents, assisting both the residents and the care team to be as independent and happy as possible. Key Responsibilities – what you’ll do day to day

- Feedback any concerns with residents’ health and well-being to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager and support with calls to relatives or health professionals
- Champion dignity and respect for each person

- Support residents with the cleaning and use of aids – hearing aids, glasses etc.
- Encourage social interactions with other colleagues and residents in the home

- Working as one team with the housekeepers to ensure the bedrooms are kept clean and tidy for the residents (e.g. ensuring toilets are flushed, bathroom areas are clean, emptying commodes)
- Ensure you observe and encourage health and safety monitoring – e.g. wet floors, trip hazards, use of personal protective equipment and hand hygiene)
- Have a keen ear and quick response for call bells to support residents and colleagues in an emergency
- Show care and compassion for everyone living and working in the home
- On occasion, you may be asked to accompany a resident to an appointment
