Nursing Care

At Manor House Care Home, our nursing care supports adults with a wide range of health conditions that may make everyday tasks more difficult. Whether due to age, reduced mobility, chronic illness or recovery from surgery or injury, our residents receive round-the-clock care from a team of qualified nurses and healthcare professionals. The Hyde Lea Unit is our dedicated space for general nursing care, with 43 en-suite bedrooms designed to offer comfort, dignity and ease of access.

We know that moving into a nursing home is a big step, and we’re here to guide you through it. Every resident has a personalised care plan shaped through a full assessment and regular reviews. We work closely with families and other professionals to ensure each individual receives the care and support that best meets their needs – while also promoting independence, emotional wellbeing and a good quality of life.

What is Nursing Care?

Nursing care is designed for individuals who need ongoing medical support alongside help with daily living. This might include people with physical disabilities, long-term health conditions, palliative needs or those recovering from hospital stays. Unlike standard residential care, nursing care is provided under the supervision of qualified nurses who are trained to manage complex needs, monitor health changes and administer medication safely.

Nursing care covers both clinical and day-to-day support. As well as personal care such as washing, dressing and eating, residents may need assistance with mobility, rehabilitation exercises, wound care or managing symptoms linked to their condition. The goal is to provide a safe, reassuring environment where residents feel looked after and able to live as comfortably and independently as possible.
