Manor House Nursing Home is looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants to join our friendly team for both day and night shifts.

Our privately-owned care home is set up into several specialist divisions, offering tailored care for up to 125-residents.

Nursing Unit Manager

We are looking to recruit 2 Registered Nurse Unit Managers to join our team.

The successful candidates must be motivated to offer the highest standards of care, to manage a busy nursing unit and be able to undertake all appropriate aspects of nursing care required.

Responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for specified residents to ensure continuity of care and to take management responsibility for a shift as directed.

Applicants will be qualified as a  Registered Nurse and will have a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Excellent communication skills are essential, and applicants must be able to communicate effectively at all levels in English. Current NMC registration is necessary and a DBS check also applies to this position.

Experience in care for the elderly and previous supervisory experience would be advantageous.

This is a full-time position and offers excellent rate of pay and first-class working environment, coupled with being part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.

Job Purpose

Manor House Nursing Home is looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant.

As Kitchen Assistant, you will assist in the preparation and delivery of high-quality food and beverages whilst maintaining a clean and safe environment suitable for its production.

Working Hours: 8am – 2pm

Key Responsibilities – Carry out duties within the kitchen area in accordance with the work schedule including

  • Preparation of food.
  • General cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen area, equipment, and appliances.
  • Receiving, checking, and safely storing kitchen deliveries.
  • Understand and implement the principles of safe food handling.
  • Understand and implement cleaning procedures and requirements of different surfaces and equipment.
  • Ensure the areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Practice safe systems of work across a range of tasks.
  • Understand personal responsibilities regarding to Health and Safety at Work legislation
  • Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Encourage and contribute to working as a team.
  • Advise and liaise with the management team on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks.
  • Responsible for the safe and tidy storage of supplies and equipment in line with your area of work.
